The village of Clarborough, North Nottinghamshire, UK is some 3 miles north of the market town of Retford on the A620 to Gainsborough; the hamlet of Welham is about a mile closer to Retford.

[Right] Main Street, Clarborough; our back is to Retford with the entrance to our neighbouring village of Hayton just visible in the distance. In the distance, the A620 turns sharp right (just before the B1403 continues into Hayton) before climbing the notorious (in bad weather) Clarborough Hill on its way to Gainsborough. Entrance to Clarborough Village Hall, venue for the IT Group, is just beyond the red car - directly opposite the King's Arms pub.

[Left] Bus services between Retford and Gainsborough (Nos. 96 & 97) stop directly outside the Village Hall which also has ample car parking space behind. The Village Hall is a modern, single-storey, building with easy access and modern facilities.

[Right] Clarborough from the top of Howbeck Lane. The main A620 climbs Clarborough Hill, parallel to Howbeck Lane, about half a mile to the right of this view. Look at the gradient of the lane by the second pole to the left of this shot. This is a popular sledging route in winter time!
